CNN anchor Brian Stelter noted President donald-trump ’s confusing converse about moving to Mars could be a savvy move by the president with the anniversary of Apollo 11 in the horizon.
“We’re coming up on the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 summer time. A major summer full ” Stelter, of distance party events said. “a great deal of distance geeks would like the focus to be on Mars, on visiting a place we’ve never gone before. ”
“Hence the president might be onto something for this new focus on Mars,” ” Stelter told CNN’s Ana Cabrera Sunday evening on CNN Newsroom.
Earlier this week, Trump said NASA should focus on sending astronauts to Mars and not the moon, according to his own confusingly-worded tweet.
For all the money we are spending, NASA should perhaps not be discussing visiting the Moon – We’d that 50 decades ago. They ought to be centered on the much bigger things we are doing, for example Mars (where the Moon is a part), Defense and Science!
Cabrera noted Trump’s tweet came after he had been criticized by former astronaut Michael Collins in a CNN podcast,” but Stelter said he believed Trump was likely responding to something he saw Fox.
