NEURA Robotics on October 14, 2026 introduced Neuron AI, its multimodal foundation model for Physical AI, from Metzingen, Germany. In its primary announcement, NEURA said Neuron AI combines 3D vision, touch, audio, robot state, and language with memory under a Perception-Language-Action (PLA) architecture, so robots can act on information cameras alone cannot capture and retain relevant context when objects leave view.

According to the company, the model encodes those modalities into one shared, time-aligned representation and turns them into a single stream of action. NEURA highlights cases where sound and touch confirm outcomes vision cannot settle—such as verifying a lock has opened—and says memory is adapted specifically for object permanence and cause-and-effect tracking in continuous physical environments. Founder and CEO David Reger framed the release as building “the brain of the physical world,” developed in Germany for global deployment.

NEURA said Neuron AI is trained on three complementary data pillars: real-world robot data from NEURA Gyms and operational environments; simulation-amplified data via its Data Amplifier and simulation stack; and human demonstration data captured with sensor-equipped data suits. The company states the shared foundation runs across five NEURA robot embodiments with different grippers and hands. Customers can fine-tune the model for their own tasks and deploy skills across fleets through the Neuraverse platform, with Time-to-Skill as a central progress metric; skills may stay private or be shared into the wider ecosystem.

NEURA also said Neuron AI was developed and trained in-house in Metzingen, with industrial data partnerships including Schaeffler and Bosch. At NVIDIA GTC Berlin 2026 (October 20–22), NEURA plans to demonstrate humanoid robot 4NE1 (“For Anyone”) completing an eleven-minute laundry-handling sequence—sorting, loading a washing machine, closing and reopening it, unloading, and transferring laundry to a dryer—without human intervention, at Station-Berlin, Hall 3, Booth #3031.

DigiEditorial verified the launch against NEURA’s October 14 Neuron AI press release as the primary source, with corroboration from Business Wire syndication (Yahoo Finance), Bastille Post’s Business Wire reprint, and Unite.AI’s independent write-up. Capability claims, embodiment coverage, training sources, Neuraverse deployment, partner names, and the GTC Berlin demo plan are company disclosures.
